Your gift this Christmas supports lifesaving research.

Your gift supports vital medical research at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH), changing lives of patients like Sylva Harben.

Perth great-grandmother, Sylva Harben was diagnosed with a rare type of blood cancer that occurs within the bone marrow called myelofibrosis.

With no other treatment options, she joined a clinical trial at Royal Perth Hospital.

Sylva believes that without the clinical trial, the myelofibrosis would have killed her by now.

"I wouldn't be here without the research team – I am lucky to be on this wonder drug. For me, it is lifesaving," she shared.

This Christmas Sylva will be having big Christmas celebrations with her family.

“The clinical trial is ongoing and gives patients with myelofibrosis an option and hope outside standard treatment which is often limited,” shares Sylva’s doctor, Dr Hun Chuah.

Your gift this Christmas helps fund more lifesaving research. With your help, more Western Australian patients can benefit from world-class research taking place here at RPH.

Your donation to the RPH Research Foundation plays a crucial role in advancing research. Your gift directly contributes to the development of life-saving treatments and innovative therapies, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and improving overall health outcomes for the Western Australian community.
